The MTECH Venture Forum is a dynamic opportunity for technically-oriented graduate students and faculty to explore commercializing emerging technologies and starting their own venture. The Forum is dedicated to facilitating new venture formation through:

  • Workshops focused on specific startup topics (e.g. market research, fundraising, business planning, and more). These workshops are presented by experts from the venture capital, legal, and business services communities.

  • Interactive presentations by successful technology entrepreneurs from startup, emerging growth, and large technical firms.

  • Direct access from Forum members to a myriad of venture formation resources available at the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (MTECH). These resources include grant funding, assistance with business planning, and technical assistance.

  • Exciting networking events and social mixers with outside investors, entrepreneurs, and professional service providers, as well as with other students.

The MTECH Venture Forum is hosted by MTECH, a unit of the A. James Clark School of Engineering.
